People who protest the loudest and the most vehemently against the rights of non-human animals are the ones closest to accepting those rights as valid. Since birth, everything they believed in, that was formulated for them before they entered this world, via society’s prejudice against all that didn’t walk, talk and act like a human is in upheaval.
Approach their hearts, minds and souls with caution as they struggle to make sense of a life that they are coming to realize was based on a lie. Of course they’re going to fight that realization. Your entire life and all that you were taught by those you loved and respected was based on that same lie. You know the feeling. You never look at your family the same, the world the same, your friends the same, yourself the same. It’s a lonely place. When you say, “I still love them”, I know that you changed with that realization, otherwise you would leave out the word ‘still’.
Those who protest the loudest are the ones most conflicted and the ones struggling at the surface to make sense of that lie. Don’t forget the roots of who you used to be. When the foundation of enslavement, torture and slaughter cracks, don’t be the one to block that progress by killing the individual with your words. You’ll close that door to progress before it fully opens. Instead, destroy the flawed foundation from which those prejudicial actions emanated.
When you fight your wars the way governments fight theirs, you will lose that war in the long term. All governments know that, yet all governments make the same mistakes thinking naively that this time, just one more kill, just one more massacre, one more holocaust, one more tortured victim and the world will be righted. If you support animal rights and you don’t call yourself anti-war, then you have some more work to do. Killing humans with bombs is no different than killing any other animal through any other means. They’re all innocent.
What good are the animal rights activists sitting in prisons doing the animals? It’s not easy to rid a group of a terrorist label. I have that label on me. Did the government put that label on me or did those espousing the killing of humans for their actions against non-human animals put that label on me? The USA is getting ready to bomb Iran for Israel, because the president of Iran said in anger and desperation at the treatment of Palestinians by the Jews, that he wanted to wipe Israel off the face of the world. That’s how big the actions from the words get, where someone will drop a bomb on a country, because of words spoken in anger. Sounds like you talking about the animals you love and respect and want to protect.
Stop riling up people to kill on someone else’s behalf and then protect yourself from legal action by claiming your web site to be for entertainment purposes only. Channel your anger in more productive, constructive and instructive ways. Engineer your thoughts. Control your actions.
We all have more work to do, a lot of work to do. Pace yourself and savor the rare moment that you can actually call happy.
HUMANS ARE AN EXISTENTIAL THREAT TO ALL BEINGS, INCLUDING THEMSELVES. So, am I to drop a bomb on all humans to obliterate that threat? Should I starve them all into submission to my will? If my will is right, yet I impose that will through violence (and starving a nation or a race is violent), then my will is for only a segment of the population, not for everyone, which means my peaceful principle for some is flawed by not being for all.
Humans make the mistake of arguing details before they form a general principle that benefits all life. They act like their brains aren’t big enough, and their minds not capable of expanding far enough to include the entire picture. That couldn’t be further from the truth, yet we act paralyzed by the enormity of changing the entire world all at once, when all you need to do is change yourself.
Vegans will not be listened to unless they address their own prejudices against all those who enslave, torture and slaughter defenseless animals. That’s your Mom and Dad, aunt and uncle, brothers and sisters, friends and associates who enslave, torture and slaughter through their actions. That’s what your world is made up of, families. Would it be okay to kill those defenseless if they could defend themselves against your families?
Did every vegan in the USA vote for the anti-war Green Party, or did they vote for the two candidates who support war through preemptive strikes against peoples and nations they deem as inferior to them? Did anybody consider the non-human animals that get killed with every strike?
Do you support targeted assassinations against individuals in this country and around the globe who don’t support democracy, because they deserve it? Vegans need to rethink their principles and align them with a foundation that includes everyone, not a foundation that says ‘do it our way and we’ll let you live’. So far, your way only appears to include those you want to protect and leaves out everyone else. Humans are animals too.
When are you going to stop sending your own families off to war under the guise of protecting you? That’s murder too. The only difference is that no one eats them after the kill. When you ask the soldier to kill and die on your behalf, that’s prejudice, discrimination, enslavement, torture and slaughter.
Where are the wealthy vegans investing their money? The same places the non-vegans invest theirs. So what’s up with that? Where are their principles? Where are yours?
