Instead of the congregation leaving the church with a ‘no one can beat us down’ uplift, they leave with a ‘let’s beat them all up’ attitude that rolls the congregation into a week of day to day challenges, that they’re less able to meet with positive solution solving ways.
Oppressed people need to vent in the privacy of their living places and sometimes in their churches, otherwise they’ll slaughter their oppressors and become like them. That being said, churches need to include everyone. Social justice amounts to nothing more than collective prejudice through vicarious vengeance.
