Just because you’re old doesn’t mean you’re wise, nor does it mean you’re set in your ways and incapable of change.
People, all humans and all creatures, evolve from conception to dust.
Just because you’re young doesn’t mean you’re innovative, eager to learn or beyond prejudice.
People and all creatures are born prejudiced. It’s in their genetic make-up.
People without prejudice don’t exist – young old or in-between.
Prejudice doesn’t just cross all barriers (gender, socio-economic blah blah blah), it is at its core the barrier of all barriers.
Absent prejudice one could not survive outside the womb.
Absent prejudice one could never make a decision – on anything.
Prejudice is a necessary part of surviving and thriving.
When you deny another creature the right to survive and thrive, that prejudice becomes a liability – for everyone, not just the one being denied those rights.
