Whatever Happened To The ‘70s?
We were raising all the right issues and getting everything right.
What happened?
I used to wonder that in the ‘80s and ‘90s.
Then came 9-11 and tore the world apart.
Yeah but what happened to the progress made in the ‘70s?
The Millennials.
Progress made doesn’t guarantee its long term survival.
The world got lazy thinking everybody had their rights.
What happened to the women’s movement?
Some small changes, mostly resented by men. The gay women who led the movement got their rights then no one followed. It was considered done.
Now, the British objectify women all over the internet news outlets in everybody’s country they ever occupied – boobs and butts – that’s all women are worth according to these British and British influenced writers and what makes news on women. Boobs and Butts.
It just goes to show you that once rights and respect are obtained women must remain vigilant, otherwise women slide back to the ugly past. As did happen. Women are back in that ugly past now.
