Best And Worst Case Scenarios
Politicians often say they plan for the worst and hope for the best.
It’s defeatist.
If you keep planning for the worst, the worst will happen just as you planned it.
Why expend more energy into the worst case scenarios than planning for the best case so the worse case doesn’t happen?
That’s what lazy leaders say when they’re asked what they’re going to do about a situation.
They get ready for the hit instead of blocking or working around it.
Even so, every year they know the country will take hits from hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, forest fires, soaring heat, yet they never seem prepared.
It all comes as a shock at least as reported in the media. I wonder why the press paints stories as if they’re so surprising when it happens every year.
Weather is one thing. Think about all the other problems that could be handled if people prevented ‘fires’, rather than focused on ‘putting fires out’?
Too much work?
Frankly I’d like to see more solution-oriented politicians and public officials. Where are all the plans they all talked about while trying to get the people to vote for them?
