Death Penalty Deterrent
For those who will kill anyway, the death penalty is not a deterrent.
For those who wouldn’t kill anyway, the death penalty as a deterrent is irrelevant.
The death penalty is null and void, no matter how one looks at it.
As a revenge tool for the family of the one murdered, once executed the death penalty has no lasting effect.
The momentary feeling of relief that some feel wears off like a novelty.
Then the reality sinks in: The killer turned the State and the family of the one killed, the lawyers, the jury and the judge into killers.
The only ones with lasting satisfaction are the original killers who ended up flipping everyone who had a say in the matter into people just like them.
“You’re no better.”
Enslavement, torture, slaughter.
It began with prejudice, moved onto discrimination and ended where it always ends when left unchecked – SLAUGHTER.
